92 PAU Water Leak

Hi All, thanks for all the information posted here, it makes for interesting reading even when it doesn't apply to my car.

I have a water leak. When I first bought my 92 PAU last year, the leaks showed up. There was no evidence of rust or anything under the back left floor rug where the water pools, so I don't think the former owner was aware of the problem.

I took it to a leak specialist and they repaired several leaks around the tail light assembly in the trunk and door seals where previous repairs had left the inner door deals unattached. Still leaked.

Over the summer an experienced body tech pointed out a space in the trim above the windshield. They had to remove and replace the windshield to replace the trim, but it looks great. Still leaks.

When the fall rains started here in the great NW, the car stayed dry for over a month and I hoped I was home free. Sadly, last week the water was back with a vengeance, soaking the carpet. This happens when the car is parked and not driven for a couple days, so I don't think it is the underside plugs mentioned in another post.

I would really love to hear from anyone who has had water leaks repaired for any year Park Avenue or LeSabre, either side. I really want to get this fixed, the car is too beautiful and runs too great to lose it to a lousy water leak.

There is no other way to find/correct this. Std pocedure is to remove the interior, seats and carpets, then water test the car from various angles with a tech in the car looking for point of entry, we do this all the time in our shop. Carpets and padding should be thoroughly dried anyway while out.
