I own an '02 3.8 Liter V6 mustang and i would like to make it faster. I did already put a cold air intake system in it but i was wondering what other bolt on horsepower options do i have? I was thinking a supercharger. I would appreciate the help

How much can you spend? As for bolt-on's you can get pulleys, exhaust, headers, and a flasher even though it really isen't a "bolt-on". You can also get gears, they won't add power but they will make your car a decent amount faster.

Yes rearend gears, exhaust, underdrive pullies, ect will help add power (exhaust), save power (pullies), and make acceleration much better (gears). The flasher really wont help much at your entry level, you wont "feel" any difference. A centrifagul supercharger will add alot more power if you can swing it. I'd suggest you stay away from powerdyne as they have an internal belt that is know for breaking. Other manufacturers such as Vortech, Paxton, and Procharger are much better blowers and will net you more power. If you really want to go the blower route the Vortech SQ-trim (if offered for the V6) is a great choice. You will still hear the blower but it wont be so loud you get sick of it. I have a S-trim on my car and I'm selling it and installing a turbo to make the car quieter. Just my personal opinion though. We really need to know what kind of budget you are working with in order to guide you in the right direction for the best "bang for the buck" performance for you.

I felt a much bigger difference from my xcal2 than I felt with any of my bolt-on's, and everyone else with bolt-on/tuned V6's says the same thing. With a stock motor they dyno around 12-14rwhp. But yes Vortech does make a V2-SQ blower for his car.

the reason you felt the difference with the xcal is because you already had boltons and the ecu didnt know they were there basically. when you tuned it the motor was able to run more efficiently with the added goodies. with his stock engine a tuner would almost be a waste of $$$, maybe not a waste but he could spend the cash elsewhere...GEARS, and feel alot better about his purchase. :)

And with gears he needs a tuner because his speedo will obviously be off.

No offense, but your title sounds like something a hooker would say. But anyway, an axle-back exhaust might help.

An intake and exhaust wont make your car feel any faster, neither will the tune. Maybe run a little smoother and run more efficient BUT you wont feel any power gains, with next to no bolt-ons the tuner is for the most part a waste of money. And no he doesnt need a tuner for the gears, all he needs is a new speedo gear to collaborate the speedometer. A $5 fix compared to $300 he would have spent on tuner that could have gone to a CAI, underdrive pulleys and so forth.

full exhaust, Long tube headers, H pipe, force pro sereis mufflers
gears, 4.10s regardless of tranny, and a detroit true trac, say no to a 7.5 tlok
supercharger, talk to justin at vmptuning.com, he has complete procharger kits. also get an SCT tune from him
or talk to andy at TMA turob.com, a proplerly tuned vehicle, 11 psi procharger or 14 psi turbo will be fine, the procharger will put you around 320 rwhp and a turbo around 400 rwhp, stock internals, ford loosly copied buicks 231 GN motor but based their heads off the cleavland 2V heads, which will put E7TE heads to shame in flow #s, and dont hold heat like the buicks, which are cast iron.
supersixmotorsports.com has HCI power packs that would help alot
tranny, a Jmod and a higher stall if your an auto would help alto to

excuse me $5 my costs, hook-up at the dealership :) . but if you can get 12rwhp, nearly 20hp at the crank from a tune on a nearly stock engine.........thats some pretty good tuning skillz
