Initial D

Has anyone watch Initial D? Its a Anime about Drifting. Watched the first episode of it today and looks bad ass. Just wondering if anyone else has watched it and if you have you know any good place to get more episodes?

Yo, whats up man, i love INITIAL D!!!!! I have every episode from Stage 1 and Stage 2 and a parts of Stage 3 and the Stage 3 movie! Yo, go to KAZAA and just search for initial d and you will get tons of stuff, it may take you a while to download because not many people have it, if i diddt have a firewall on my router, i'd let you download it from me. And if i had more bandwidth on my website, i'd let you download it from there. Maybe one night i'll hook up my cable modem directly to my computer and tell you and you can download it!

Im trying to get them on Kazaa, but not getting alot of the episodes. Trying to get them in order so I don't skip around. Kinda sucks that they are all in Japenese, but I guess that doesn't really matter. Im gonna try Winmx in a little while to find some of them. Usually don't take long to download them since I got DSL :D now, it would take me a year to download them with the old 56K :mad: .

Yea, i hear ya, i hated 56K, and i had DSL, but i switched to Cable, cause its faster, and cheaper, DSL is good, only because its consistent, but Cable is still better cause in my area, cause umm... i guess it just is.... :) Well yea, go in order cause the Hatchi Roku kicks some sweet ass! and i just love Initial D! as a matter of fact, i'm gonna watch some old episodes rite now :)

i got them all love them mine have english sub titles the story line is as good as the cars my girl love's it too cause it kind of a love story with tight ass cars there stage 1 that has 20 some episodes an the 2nd stage has 13 an then there's the movie. I spent over 180 on the three box sets (DVD) it was worth it i think the fourth stage is out but there waiting for the subtitles i dont have the extra stage thats just the race highlights

You can buy the Inital D DVDs on Ebay. I like jamming to Initial D music, just something about it that makes you want to race:D

Eventually I'll get them on DVD, but don't have the money for them right now. So far I have Stage 1-1-16, missing 8. Well now I know what your avatar and sig pic is dx_tuner. Downloaded some Intial D music also, gotta love the techno sound everyonce in awhile.:D

Initial D 0wnz m3. I bought all 11DVD's for $80 off of ebay. I also got the manga that was translated to english, and it's super rare because it has the original names, and now they changed the names of all the characters for the U.S. version. Takumi = Tak and Itsuki = Iggy etc... Are those not the stupidest names ever?!? I seriously recommend nobody buys the U.S. version of anything Initial D.

yea, those are some pretty stupid ass names. Don't see why they always have the change the names for everything that comes to america. So are they actualy translating them to english now though?

Anyone know where I can get the 1st stage act 8 at? I'm missing that one and that is where I'm at right now.

i loved that one episode where he was racing a tuned imprezza WRX

however the friggen episode ended before the race did...

i would love to get the collection, but alas, i have better things to spend my money on

Hey man, i have it, its 113MB so if you know of a way for me to transfer it to you, i'll do it, sometime this week, maybe on wed i'll open a port so you can connect to my computer so i willyou D/L all the Initial D you want!

Oh, and i just watched the 8th episode, and you dont miss much. I dont wanna give it away, but he doesnt even race the R32 Skyline from the Night Kids. He starts to race in the 9th Episode and the end of the race is in the 10th episode...... So, it gets really dragged out, so 8th isnt really that important, but if u still wanna wait, its up to you! :)

i finally found it on Kazaa. So right now I have the 1st 16 episodes, half way through what I have right now.

how many stages and acts in this series?

I think there are just 2 stages, excluding the movie, don't know how many acts are in it, right now I have the 1st 16 acts, still on #12.

Just found this on some french web-site... A bunch of re-mixes of the audio for Initial D or something... looks cool.

They just got the Initial D Arcade game full ver, in Sunnyvalle California, at Golfland. I gonna go check it out on my next day off.

How many acts are in each stage? I have 26 in the 1st stage, haven't started downloading any of the 2nd stage yet.

13 Acts in the 2nd Stage, 3rd Stage is a movie, and so is Extra Stage.

That was the greatest show I have ever seen. I love the last battle between the 86 and FC. Im working on downloading the second stage. if there are only 13, then I got all but #4 downloading right now.

Sweet man, you will love second stage, i still loved the whole first stage, it was my favorite, that and the 3rd stage MOVIE.

Damn, Im so excited about that now:D, can't wait till I get the 2nd stage downloaded.:sun:

laying it down from the guy that knows more about anime then cars ... listen closely cause i doubt many of you really know anime like i do ...


1st stage is 26 eps long, this is a full two seasons of it.
2end stage is 13 eps, one season.
EXTRA stage, is not a movie, its not a season, its a TV special. this is two half hour specials combined if you manage to get a good version.
this is not race highlights, that comes later, this is additional story line not dealing directly with takumi or the 86. needless to say they are the main characters of the the rest so they make appearances. the first is "Impact Blue", the story of the sil-80, and "Sentimental white" this is a christmas special ... you make the call ...
third stage is the movie, which originally capped off the series cause that was the last of the mange made.
finally, BATTLE STAGE, this is NOTHING BUT RACE HIGHLIGHTS. i have not bothered to watch this as i prefered the story line over the cars and dont really care either way cause i got my own hachi ill be drifting when were done with it.

as for fourth stage, this is as far as i know nothing but rumors. back like two or three months ago when i was in the fansubbing distro profession no one could get a clear yes or no, everything was hear say and what not. this is old info, but probly true for now. if anything, fourth stage will make a start in manga and then maybe next year it will come to life on TV. until then ... class dismissed and school is out ...

PS: for those on kazza ... notice that some eps sound diffrent? thats cause most of the eps floating there are actually dubbed in chinese over the japanese voices. that always threw me off ...

I've seen all of the first stage, 2nd stage is on CD, 3rd stage the movie, extra stage with impact blue, and the bastard child battle stage all rest on my hard drive. ALONG with over 100 songs from Initial D...heck i've burned two CD's full...problay gonna make a third here sooner or later hehe. Still i'm always lookin for people who know more about Initial D than me so I can hopefully find something new! Right now i'm gettin little bits of info from the manga that comes after the movie, where project D is formed, and they race the todu school with all the type-R's and such. If you have ANY info on that sorta stuff please send it my WAY!!!

btw yea i noticed that voice over thing on kazza to, annoys the hell outta me if a i get a episode like that i usually try to get a second one to see if i can just get a normal epsiode from japan.

well i have all of first stage for myself, and i think i have second, i know i did have extra stage ... as for the movie and the "bastard child" battle stage as you put it i dont think i have either. Initial D isnt the only anime series i collect, i have over 70 buned Cd's of stuff that probly will never be released or wont be for a year or more.

Okay what i can add to yer info is that each and every location that was drawn is actually a real location. There is an art book with the picture comparisons. hrmmm there is alot of memorabilia (sp?) too, hotwheel like cars and stuff ...

yea so ... anything you want to know like the import psx games. PS2 import game, waegen (sp? i did it phoneticly) midnight. ect ect ...

PS: i take back my statement that most of the ppl on the boards wont know much about anime, but i will refine it to say that most will not know as much about anime out side of Initial D and that other anime with cars ...

HELP I'm trying to get the initial d episodes off of Kazaa but they are all .avi files and for some reason i cant watch them what program do i need to play these .avi files please help me:(

You need to go download DivX (http://www.divx.com/divx/index.php) then you can watch initial d, and many other video files off of kazaa. Its a lot better quality than Windows media player.

Werd, i diddt know about the divx shit untill i read it at some porn site about .avi files needing a divx codec :)

there alot of codecs out there. i would sugjest looking for the nimo codec pack, this will solve so many problems not to mention a decent viewing program.
