Bad pics, but this model still soldiers on. What's odd about this build is that there's not a lot in the way of sub-assemblies, that can be all built, then put together. It's more of all having to be built together, so it's kind of slow going.
I stripped the chrome off the chrome parts - the bumpers, the the door handles, and the trim behind the windows. I shortened the front bumper to match the front of the car, and sprayed everything Testors Metal Master Aluminum plate, to match the wheels. I then cut the S27 mesh to fit the holes in the front and rear, and painted those Aluminum too. I also added the tail lights and the lower blinkers (though I notice in the pics, I forgot to add the marker lights yet) and am still thinking about what to do with the headlights - they're going to behind the mesh in the front. It's getting there.

Cham, I think you can do it whenever you want! I've been seeing your models since you first started posting, and you've been progressing so well, I've wondered when you'd start doing some modifications. Just start small, with something fairly simple. Use simple materials and techniques, and get the hang of it, and you'll be off and running. I have the utmost faith in you. But like they say in golf, it's better to learn to hit the ball straight first, you can hit it far whenever you like.

I'm loving what you did with the bumpers and wheels, really gives it more of a racier look!

Wow. This model almost ceases to be a car and begins to be its own abstract, creative topic. This is why modeling is so freakin cool :)
I want to see it with the corner marker lights installed.
