i previously owned a 94 deville concours with the 4.6 northstar ran great definently got my moneys worth but i took one big collective pooh so to speak i am now looking at getting a 95 deville with the 4.9 has a little over 100,000 the advise i need is:---------it had a leak in the break line which caused a T083 code (i understand that) but there is a TRACTION DISABLED code on the dash but still seems to run and drive fine so i was wondering if anyone kn ows if this is an expensive thing to fix the break line has been replaced ------------------- i was also wondering what the pros amd cons were to having a northstar and a non-northstar i would appreciate any input that you guys could offer

4.9 is easier and cheaper to maintain for sure, reliable engine by the time it reached it's final stages. The bcm/ebcm needs to be scanned for codes here, can be done thru the a/c control head, try caddyinfo.com for the procedure.

I have a '94 Deville that I bought with 94k miles. I now have 136k miles, and it's been one of the most reliable cars I've ever owned! As long as that Deville was taken care of, it will be a good car!
