h22a into 95 accord engine swap.

Hi everyone, I'm kinda new to the whole car scene, given how I just got my first car. It's a 95 Accord EX (the one with the lights that kinda look like preludes), stick, sunroof, crappy sound system. I have ok knowledge on cars. Not wanting to financially kill my parents (they bought me my car), i decided to buy the accord, then get a job and mod it myself. Therefore, money should come into consideration. I'm willing to spend 5k total modding it, for now.

I've decided to get a h22a engine swap. I saw the jspec auto prices are pretty cheap. From here on, i don't know very much. I know that it's a relatively easy swap. What else do i have to think about? Will i lose powersteering, or AC, or anything like that. Also, how much do you think it would cost for me the swapping process. Do you have any recommendations on where to get an engine? Do i have to buy any other parts?

Haha, alright. Those are all the questions i could think of now. I need help! Thank you VERY MUCH to anyone that can help me (i couldn't find a very helpful website)!!!

PS. If you have any other suggestions besides an engine swap, feel free to post it! I need all the info i can get! :)

---edit---

I remember my other question. If i get a Prelude engine, will all the engine parts that i buy have to be for Preludes? I know things like intake, exhuast, headers, pully's will all have to be for the prelude, but what about other things, like the tranny. Thank you!

Go check out www.h22a.org and also www.h22a.com. As far as your power Steering yes you can keep it but it does have to be modified. You will use the Prelude PS pump and the lower half of the hose is from the prelude. The upper half comes from the Accord, and these to need to be mated together by a hose shop, someone who deals in High Pressure hoses. The AC is kept as well, I'm not sure which one we used, but one of em works.. LOL I have AC and P/S.. So good luck to ya!!

Yes the answer is yes.. The parts that you will be ordering for your car when it comes to the engine, yes they will have to Prelude parts. There are some that Accord parts that will fit, but are far and few between, the intake however you should be able to buy for an Accord as its mainly the routing of the tube through the engine bay, and getting the one from the prelude may not fit quite right. The tranny itself I don't know for sure, I don't think so. I do know the Accord crank will work, and it is said it will give you more hp. The axles from the Accord will work but the need to be modified by a machine shop or someone who specializes in axles, since the Accords on one end it male and they need to be male, or vice versa, can't remember which. But using your H22 axles your ABS won't work, but they do work and thats what I'm using now. The half-shaft also will need a new mount put on it, this can be modified as well.
