I noticed the cooling fans come on for a few minutes while warming car in the mornings,, is this normal?
Thanks,, Phil
Also,, brakes seems like it takes alot of push to stop
compared to the 01 Windstar, but if a double pump them it works much better, any ideas on what this is about.?

they should'nt when starting unless you have air but only 1 fan with air conditioner but my buick does same thing and i think it's a sensor...because your air fan sucks out the heat to get cold..good luck....

If you have to douple pump your brakes your master cylinder is going out. You should replace this quickly.

not always true your rear brakes might need ajusted out..and if you've done any brake work like replacing a wheel cyl you could have air in them..try bleeding them..but like i said if you have drum brakes on rear they might need ajusted..
good luck....

What engine are these sensors mounted on it makes a difference where they are located.

New development; This weekend the fans run all the time!
So, I'm going for the typical relays in the panel
enclosed box on fenderwell.

You should have a temp. sensor on the intake close to where the upper radiator hose is connected.

Still playing with the fans,, bought new relay... tried it in 5 relays, with no results , it still runs all the time. One new thing,,, on our cold morning about 15*,, they didnt come on?. so must be sensor related.
Can several owners reply to a test ? this is it,just see if the fans ever come on in the mornings when first start and if so observe how long they stay on. thanks Phil

I got the fans fixed,, it was the sensor in the A/C muffler just behind the radiator near the bottom,, line comes out of Compressor,, it was telling the PCM, engine running in hi -heat so, HI fan speed was started on both fans.,
Cost $215 for all,, had to evacuate the A/c system to install sensor.. same day service....
