My radio will randomly go to the balance mode for my speakers and turn all the sound to the right side of my car. The button is not stuck. This is interchangable with my bass button. It will also be selected and turn it all the way down. It alternates between the normal screen, the balance screen, and the bass screen without pressing any buttons. If you could please give me some insight on what i sould do, i would be greatful!!! Thanks

Welcome to the forum!

What year is your LS? I'm not sure what the buttons consist of in today's decks, but in the early '90s, Ford decks contained plastic domes with conductive paint inside the dome. When the button is pressed, it flexed the plastic dome which shorted out a couple of contacts on the circuit board. After years of use and head, some of the conductive paint would stick to the board and continue to short out the contacts randomly. Since the volume buttons were the most often used, the volume function would typically be the first to exhibit issues.

I'm not sure if your LS deck is similar, but that could explain your issue. Many times, the fix will be to get into the deck, peel the plastic sheet away from the board, and clean any residue from the circuit board contacts. Usually enough conductive material remains in the dome so that you won't need to apply more conductive paint.
