I agree, sounds like he is talking about the engine/components. Spoon is a racing company in japan, they make some acura and honda parts. Very expensive. Umm, if ure talking motor swap, don't do it, anew spoon engine is about 7 grand, www.inlinefour.com, just find you a b18c, or fix up your b18b, u will be way happier, it will be cheaper, and you will probably get more power for the $$. Thats just my 4 1/2 cents.

I like the GSR tegs as well Josh, I assume thats what your looking for (that or a type R)? As for selling your mustang I'd post a thread about it, or post in kris's classified thread (there's always ebay). Now as for the question pertaining to what car I think you should get. I've always been a fan of the b18, I seem to be able to push more hp out of them than I can an h22 motor (plus there's the matter of weight difference in the two vehicles the teg is considerably lighter). Ok in comparing the two (lets say a type R integra to a prelude sh) the engines in both motor's are rated at around the same 195hp+ radius. but the type R runs a 1.8 liter with a 10.6:1 CR. and spins past 8400 rpm redline until it hits a fuel cutoff at 8500. The motor makes 108 hp per liter. The Prelude on the other hand runs a 2.2 liter with a CR. of 10.0:1 and tachs out at 7500 rpm's. The difference is torque, the prelude's extra displacement translates into 156 feet of torque at 5250 rpm, while the type R peaks at 130 feet while at 7500 rpm. Ok Honda's are all about the short stroke, most engines are built for torque, rather than horsepower. As a rule, larger bore equals more horsepower, while a longer stroke equals more torque. A long stroke allows the engine to produce power for a longer period of time, and subsequently more torque. There is a drawback to a long stroke though. B/c the piston must travel a longer distance, there is a limit to how many RPM the engine can handle. On the opposite end of the spectrum, an engine with a large bore and short stroke will produce less overall torque, but has the ability to reach much higher revolutions per minute, and subsequently more horsepower. Honda have been building engines with less torque, but the ability to rev much higher. This typically means that honda's don't accelerate as quickly right off the line as their counterparts, but they are able to accelerate for longer in the same gear, The ITR is a perfect example of utilization of that high RPM, the prelude is as well but is lacking in comparison to a b18c5 (also personally I think it could use a 6th gear) Both cars are excellent automotives but my vote goes to the teg, for reasons explained. Hope I helped out a bit, and sorry for being off topic guys. :)

i wouldn't really recomend a spoon engine for a teg you are going to drive everyday. its more of a racing engine than anything else. i would say to keep your teg engine. the spoon is lighter. but i believe its the same engine. well..same as the type rs' engines.
and how does this company sell the spoon b18c for 3500? inlinefour is a direct dealer of spoon and they sell for like 6400...a regular type-r engine costs like 5 grand...how can a spoon cost less? i dont get it. has anyone actually ordered from this place?

How can I sell the Spoon Engine Assy for $3500?? Well If you go to www.spoon.jp/eng/ (Spoon Sports Homepage) find the Spoon Engine Assy and do a Currency Conversion, You will find that it comes out to around $3100-3500 depending on the exchange rate. Now, void the floating Exchange Rate, Because I get a Fixed Rate. I also get a dicount off the MSRP in Japan. Therefore, when I add International shipping to the Price, I can sell it for $3500.
I hate to say this, but anyone who payed $6000+ for a Spoon Engine Assy. got ripped off!!
If you didn't notice... I have ONLY JDM products. I will be adding more Rare and Hard to get items, soon!
And Yes a Spoon Engine is Fine for Daily Drivers!! The Spoon 3 Puck Clutch would not be for Daily Drivers!!
Peace
