I just finished up painting the chassis of my SLR, then i noticed that the X-18 I sprayed was gloss instead of semi-gloss. I was thinking of using dullcote, but thats enamel and my paint is acrylic. Help!

One of the key to spraying X-18 is to make sure you thoroughly mix the paint in the jar before you thin it for airbrushing. An alternative is to use the Tamiya TS spray for semi-gloss black since you don't have to worry about thinning.

I wouldn't even remotely suggest spraying enamel over acrylic, and spraying a flat clear over a gloss is only going to get you a flat finish.
A safe alternative is to source some Vallejo satin clear acrylic in the pre-thinned for airbrush bottles, it's excellent stuff.

I agree with Ray.I had a similar problem on my McLaren Monocoque where it came out a little shiny.I overcoated it with Vallejo Satin air acrylic varnish which gave a nice satin sheen.
I've tried many satin blacks over the years and not found any one that was particularly great, until I tried Zero jet black from Hiroboy. This stuff dries incredibly fast,it's nice and smooth and gives a lovely satin sheen.
