Yeah, but I get it again on Jan 7. (Russian Orthodox) Okay, so I don't really get a later Christmas... but my mom usually gets me candy or something in addition to what I get on Dec. 25.
I had a good Christmas. What about everyone else?

You get Christmas in the summertime there, which blows my mind a bit....I can't imagine a warm Christmas. I wonder how that would change the nature of the type of things purchased as gifts?
Hope eveyone had a good one. Mine was...well...meh. Let's not go there...

Thanks for the well wishes, my Christmas went well. Aussie, isn't it funny how women will only buy us practial gifts (to her your PSP is frivolous), yet if you bought her a vacuum or microwave (we think jewelry and 20 pairs of practically identical black chunky shoes are frivolous), you'd be in the dog house until next Christmas.

No way, man... I buy toys for my b/f's... when I have them.

I didn't feel like starting a new thread, but I thought I'd point out that I did a nice little 30 mile jaunt today on the bike. I would have ridden longer if I had remembered to eat lunch before I took off. ;)
Hope everyone has a Happy New Year!

yeah happy new year to all.
i just found out that i have a stomach ulcer.:banghead:
had a great new years party, good spicy food and loads of booze. all the best things for an ulcer. i spent 8 hrs in intense pain on new years not realising alcohol wasn't helping:icon16:

I had worked myself towards an ulcer back in college. Took prescription Zantac for a while, and it self-cleared. It was pretty great, but I also had to learn to cope with stress a little better.
I sat at home with my dog and comforted him when the neighbors started setting off fireworks in the rain. *groan*

That sucks Aussie, I love spicy food too, and had the beginnings of one, but caught it before it got to a full blown ulcer. It was torture eating bland food for a month while my stomach repaired itself. I put hot sauce on/in almost everything, the wife's favorite comment is "there you go ruining your dinner again".

i can handle drinking only milk, but food needs flavour. no point eating it otherwise.
even today for lunch, spicy italian pizza sub from subway. with meatballs.
enough fat to clog the arteries but it has flavour. drugs can numb the pain.
going in to hospital tomorrow for the "procedure"
having a camera shoved down my throat and the ulcer cauterized.
i wonder what its like to have something large down your throat. i'd ask the wife but she has no experience in anything down the throat............
