A quick question on ... primer

This one's bound to get PMan's attention ;)
OK, I've read the FAQ and decided that the use of primer is a 'Good Thing', and it's definitely improved the finish on my car bodies. But I was wondering - do you use primer on everything else? Seats, dash, wheels etc.
The reason I ask is that the seats on my 350Z have finished up quite poor, with the paint refusing to stick to the plastic until I'd applied a few coats :( If I'd used primer then it I'm sure it wouldn't have been such a problem.

You shouldn't have to prime everything but it doesn't hurt. One thing that helps is to thouroughly scrub the parts with an abrasive sink cleaner. Here in the US I use Soft Scrub by Chlorox. It puts a nice even scuff for the paint to grip on. Also airbrushing also eliminates allot of these problems due to better atomization of the paint.

Oh it sure did !!!!
I think you have answered this question yourself !!...lol
I try and primer everything i can....mostly before i cut things off the "trees". The primmer doesen't have to be the neatest of jobs, just as long as there is some on the parts.
Smaller parts i dont really bother, but at least try and get the seats/dash/interior/chassis all done
