fusion plugs?

Has anyone upgraded the plugs in their Aveo? My 04 is running a little rough with only 15k miles on it. Im thinking of the new fusion plugs or the bosch plat 4 plugs. Any suggestions? Thanks and happy holidays!

If you are mad at your car that is a good way to kill it for sure :grinyes: :lol: :grinno:
Bosch is a no no in A GM.
Just drop all of them in the trash can. And get what the good AC delco spark plug book calls for.
You should not need new plugs untill 75-100K
What engine?
Any check engine lights?
Describe the running ruff.
Like on the road or idle or engine shaking?
Tell us what is up there and someone may be able to help.

Well it does not idle smooth. gas milage is so so ... No chk engine light at all scanned for codes, None. Though maybe some new plugs might help

15k is still a little early for it, but It think I'd try the fuel filter first. Also, how's the air filter? If you drive in a particularly dusty area, that could need changing.

If you're in doubt, pull the plugs and inspect them. Even if the plugs themselves are not the fault, they should indicate something about mixture and firing conditions in each cylinder. Just make sure you identify each plug for it's cylinder, so you can pinpoint any potential problems to a specific cylinders(s).
And stay away from the "designer" spark plugs. The only things they are good for are: Separating a fool from his money; Cold-firing two-stroke marine engines; Possibly nitromethane burning engines.
Then again, top fuelers usually don't cicumferentially fornicate with "Plus 4" or "SplitFire" plugs - They use a surface-firing plug designed for the purpose, and we all know that outboard owners never perform any maintenance. That only leaves the first choice.

Assuming the manufacturer specifies them for an Aveo, what about NGK iridium plugs? Will they help cold starting and mileage in an Aveo?

Year and engine and mileage on old plugs?
If the manf and good book calls for that type plug and the old plugs are high mileage them they might help.
But always go what the good book calls for even some of the manf specs have been changed gap and plug no.
