Check Engine Light? Simple Fix

2004 Optima. Got a check engine light. The fix? New gas cap.

Mine came on, too! The check engine light came on for a few miles, turned off after a short time, 2 hours or so. It did this at least three times and is currently off? I plan on taking the car in for servicing, sinc eI haven't had any regular maintenance, except for oil changes and tires.
