How to remove engine cover

I have a 97 leSabre with a 3800 motor. 90,000miles. Owned for about 6 months.
The engine light came on and so I took it to a Indy to have it looked at.
He said the code came back as ignition? So he changed the spark plugs only
no wires, and cleaned the injectors and rails.
$385 later I'm out the door.
The next day I take it on a 60 mile cruise and the motor starts surging and acting like the tranny is shifting up and down.
Engine light comes on again.

Under hard acceleration it seems to be missing and light starts flashing.

I'm going to the parts place and see if they well pull a code.

I also would like to change the plug wires.

How do you remove the plastic engine cover that says 3800 on it?

I did a search but could not find an answer.

Take the oil filler tube off, then the cover lifts of the small bracket at the back, reinstall the oil filller cap while working on it to prevent anything falling in. BTW the flashing cel is telling you possible cat damage can occur under those conditions. Use Premium wires here and OE type AC plats.

Yes, I read that in the owners manual, so I took it easy after that.
Ok, good wires but what are OE type AC plats? Because I'm :screwy:

Original equipment AC platinum plugs, this engine does not perform well on other types, in general. AC 41-101's at .060.
