Nah, mount the head from the 3rd floor. Make sure you have to use shovels and wheelbarrows to build the body.

wow you're lucky, right now we've got no snow but plenty of ice. we got freezing rain and every road is coated in very slipery ice. it's the kind of weather where walking somewhere would be sketchy, let alone driving.

so i was driving to a friends house lol, and i was going MAYBE 5km/h and i got into a turn, turn the wheel slowly, and go straight. so i straighten out the wheel and start lightly applying the brake, it works for a sec then the tires slide. so i'm just riding this car straight at a granny speed and then i hear the inevitable *thud* and the first thing that goes through my mind is "oh shit i just broke my car" because any damage to my car is going to be a bitch because i pride myself on having a car in very good condition. anyways, as it turns out i only bumped my tire on the curb so there was no damage but it was one of those things where you have plenty of time to thing "oh shit oh shit oh shit" before it happens, and it sucks.

after hanging out at my friends house i come out and my car is literally covered in a sheet of ice, that's from an hour and a half. it's rediculous, we should be having snow right now, not rain and ice, damn global warming. i could have gone out drinking tonight with some high school friends that i haven't seen since grad but it's an hour away in good weather and good traffic, it'd probably easily be 2.5+hours to get there in this weather, if you make it there.

I'm just a few miles away from KustmAce, over in Aurora. Pretty much the same mess. These are pictures of my townhouse complex.

*Across the street. Snow's piling quickly. I took this picture the first set of pictures around 3PM.

Had to get a pic of Lil Blue. Unfortanutely, because of height, Lil could not go out and have fun.

Snow around the back fence. Funny thing is that at that time, I had no snow on the deck.

This is the second set of pictures. Took these 12AM

Another shot of the backyard. No snow on the deck. If I could stand it long enough, I woulda BBQ'd

Didn't really have time to take photos of the clean-up. but its going OK. Hoping to buy a new shovel. Broke mine while trying to get Lil Blue out.

Snow owns.

So many great blizzard memories as a kid. Its wierd that I curse the snow now that I have to drive to work in a lowered car with lowpro summer tires. I'll miss the snow when I'm back in florida tho :frown:

Snow owns.

Its a brisk 54 degrees here at the moment, it was in the low 70s all week.

I'm pretty sure me and the whole city of Dallas would lay an egg if it ever snowed like that down here. They whole city freaks out over when get a annual "Texas" snow, which is nothing but sleet and ice.

I'm a little confused over the big fuss for this storm. Isn't 20" not that big of a deal for Colorado? I know in here NJ the state would be all but shutdown, but aren't you guys used to that kind of snow?

Damn...my uncle said it was bad but he didn't send any pictures, looks pretty nasty.

My friend and I might be going out there with the company he's working for to help with some of the snow removal. 18+ hour days of operating an endloader...W00t!

The state was all but shutdown. We get a ton of snow, but its just not usually this much at once.

Sounds like a helluva time to me! And I know you guys have some nice ass hills to sled down too... only sleddable hill in my area is a giant trash mound covered in dirt/grass. We call it Mt. Trashmore

Make sure you make a GIANT pile of snow on someone's car so it doesn't melt for like 3 weeks.

I wish I had snow right now. I had planned to get away from home for a little bit over the holiday week to hit some slopes, but it's nearly 100miles to the nearest resort with any kind of real snow. Considering I used to drive 3 hours to and from work for the last 4 months, I am not looking to make that kind of drive again any time soon.... not even for snow. :(

I remember Blizzards from my childhood. Every year I hope for a huge snow, but my guess is that I'll never see that kind of storm again for the rest of my life. Anyhoo, good luck with the digging out... I vaguely remember the experience, so have fun with all that!

Yea. I just left Breckenridge this past saturday, after DIA was closed for what, 2 and a half days? Security lines were about an hour long, looped several times around the main terminal. Then Frontier Airlines Check-in was at least 2 and a half hours. It looped at least 3 times around the terminal (hooray for Continental First-Class EliteAccess woooo! lol)

Had the storm come earlier, I would have spent my whole Christmas with my best friend and his family who lives there.

Damnit...there wasn't as much snow in terms of skiing there at Breck, A-Basin, Keystone, and Beaver Creek. Hell...it figures it snows a shit load right when I leave.

Part Deux of this storm is on its way.

How cute. Wanna know how my scandinavian winter's been? just recently, my whole side of town was flooded, the town hall stood under 6 feet of water. I barely got home 'cause my valley was filled up. Its the 28th of december, and no snow yet. Its wonderful.
