v70 whats wrong random misfire

Hey everybody wife drove the wagon into a big puddle and now it runs bad. We vacumned out the air cleaner and installed a new filter. And still does not run good and the code reads p0300 random misfire. Could this water affected the maf sensor? The scanner is not showing a code for the maf only the random misfire. Please help dont want to be stuck with that big volvo bill. Thanks

Just to let anyone that looks at this thread know. The problem has been fixed. I replaced the maf sensor even though the code was not displaying. The readout was p0300 random misfire and just figured it had to be the maf. Car runs great now. Hope this will help someone in the future.
