I remember hearing somewhere that that car cost about 95K if not more to make. The paint job alone was something like 6000 dollars for the exterior alone. I've put that same link to that RSX (from Import tuner) on a couple of other posts. I maintian my statement that that RSX has got to be the singlemost sweetest import I've ever seen.
It's so cleanly made...
If you want to have ANYWHERE near as good as that car then you've got PLENTY of work to do and you're going to need an incredible amount of money, time, energy and patience. They did a great job with customization. Note how they didn't just go buy a bunch of aftermarket crap and stick it on like most people. They customized. That fiberglass interior is straight custom, as are the seats and the system and the amp rack and basically the entire interior. If you don't want to pay the 8000 to get a completely custom fiberglass interior and another couple hundred or grand for the seats, I suggest you start there and figure out how to do this stuff yourself.
The greatest way to be completely custom is to make it yourself. I'm not talking about all the parts or anything but if you order some "custom" stuff from most all of these companies, chances are the stuff isn't exactly custom. These guys that did the RSX know how to do what they do. They're real pros. and they had a nearly unlimited budget. Which always manages to help somehow.
