If you could know about one thing, what would it be?

Not just one thing, but all aspects of an event, person, or subject.

There are too many to enumerate, and I'll leave the obvious historical situations to someone else.

I'd like to know if my dogs actually understand me when I talk to them, or if it's a conditioned response to stimuli. Would they be smart enough to talk if they had the right equipment? Do they feel joy or other emotions? When they cock their heads when I say certain things, are they thinking about a "walk in the park" or "going for a ride"? What are they actually thinking about?

Actually I have no idea, I couldn't choose one thing.

Nano-technology I think... one sock out of every ten pack is enfused with some compound that reacts with soap... its a conspiracy by Big Socks. Don't doubt it either... did you know that Big Pants and Big Underwear have a massive plot to keep underwear from being built into pants? Think about it...

Anyways... if I could know everything about one thing, it would be every aspect of automotive technology from drivetrain, suspension, to electronics and engine managment. God my career would really skyrocket then. I could ask to know everything about how to win at poker... but I'd rather work on cars and just make money doing that. I like the people... I like helping people and knowing they are safe and getting an honest deal on repairs... very satisfying. I love reconditioning brake systems...but anyways...

Im torn between either knowing every aspect of the human body and how everything works, reacts, etc. because thinking about all the good I could do if i knew more than the leading experts in their fields know.

Either that or baseball scores forever so I could bet on them and be rich. I hate baseball and dont watch it anyway so it wouldnt matter to me if i already knew the scores.

The address of the Ford engineers, as every time I have to work on these cars, I want to find those sons of b*tches and beat them with a sock full of quarters, and then force all of them to work on the car themselves.
Or maybe perhaps, what happens when you die... without actually dieing.

Might I suggest letting them work on the car first, as the beating and subsequent cranial hemoraging might prove to be a hinderance on the wrenching.

I'd like to know everything there is to know about modern music. I must be getting old, because I have no f'in idea who half of these upstart new groups are, and the ones that I thought were ice cool in the '80s now look ridiculous.

how women think

Ah, that's a good one.

I think I would like to know what really happens after you die. Such as, which religion, if any, is correct. Or, if none, what is the right answer. Is there a single all-knowing, all-powerful being, ie God, or are there multiply gods that rule over a specific thing? And why are here? Obviously, all religions answer these questions in one form or another, but what's the right answer? Maybe, we are in something like the matrix and just a small piece is a seemingly inifinte bigger picture. And, all these questions lead to other questions, but you guys get the idea.

Why hot dogs come in a pack of 8.

Seriously, I'd like to know whats the reasoning behind some women's decision. Also if life after death is real.

meh, most new music sucks anyways. 80s thrash metal is the supreme form of music. :D

as for the question at hand, id want to know all about extraterrestrial life. does it exist, if so where in the galaxy? what kind of civilizations exist and have they ever visited earth? does the government know about them but hide it?

either that or what happens after death, cause not existing would be kind of a drag.

Id like to know the future.

that would be cool, but then i would want to change something if I didn't like the outcome. And if that was the case, where you change something, then you don't REALLY know the future right?

Personally, I would probably want to know what happens after you die. I know a lot of people have mentioned it already but I want to know if they are actually watching down on us.

Or I would want to know how everything about Space. Just how big is it? Is there another world out there like ours with a society just like ours or maybe there is a world out there like ours where it is just starting to "develop" with like cavemen and shit.

Or i would want to know why hot dogs are sold in 10 packs, yet hot dog buns only come in 8 packs :dunno:

I'd just like to know, at my option - at any one time and only one person at a time, what they were really thinking and the wherewithall to understand it, in their context and their motivation.

Isn't that a quote from the Simpsons or Family Guy or South Park or something?

I'd like to know... everything... too broad?

Yea... definately everything about cars...

And I dont want to start a war here, but to know what happens after death wouldnt assure you getting there. If you knew there was God, and you knew you had to live by the bible, would you? Or would you just say, "Oh...so it is real..." would you change your life to go to heaven, or would you live the same? Getting to heaven is a matter of faith, and belief.
