Heater knob kills headlights and DIC

Something strange started happening in my GTP yesterday. This isn't consistent but when I adjust my the switch up or down for the blower motor my DIC shuts off and reinitializes itself and my headlights go out. If I reposition the switch the lights will come back on. My setup may be a little unique because I have an HID kit with the DRLs disabled. I also have a remote starter installed. When the issue occurs I hear a clicking sound coming from under the drivers side dash. I just wanted to see if anyone has had a similar issue. I am going to disconnect and reconnect the remote start to try and reset it. I also have another brain with the same wiring harness that I may swap out. As always thanks for all the info and happy holidays.

Check to make sure the remote start is not causing the issue and all battery cable and connections/terminals. Based on your symptoms you may have a flaky ignition switch and harness assembly. When the contacts carbon up you get either arcing or a resistor effect which causes a voltage drop of the 12 volt supply to the accessories like headlights, DIC and HVAC.
