Help needed.....88 Camaro

OK here's the problem. My 15 year old brother bought a 88 Camaro with the 2.8 V6 today. When we test drove it it started right up no problems. After we drove it home we washed it, took some pics of it, and went to restart it to move it. It would turn over but wouldn't start. I started smelling gas so of course it's flooded. It's fuel injected, why is it flooding? After several minutes of waiting and cranking the motor over it fires right up like nothing was ever wrong. Any ideas why it is flooding? Help is greatly appreciated!!!! Also if anyone knows any good sites for parts and could post a link I would appreciate it.

Thanks
Tony

After washing it, you could have gotten water in the ignition box. 88, does that have HEI or is that opti-spark? Either way, water probably got in there, and kept it from firing to burn off the fuel being sprayed into the cylinders. Just my .02.
