99 blazer 4x4

About a week or 2 ago I posted about having problems with my 4wd. I changed the vacuum switch on top of the transfer case and still had the problem. check the actuator and everything seemed fine.
Here was my problem. Over the summer had a problem with 2 of my rims, they got damaged and all air was leaking out. So I put my old OEM rims on the back. The rear had 15" and the front had 16" Due to the difference in tire size my 4wd wouldn't engage. I changed back to OEM rims all the way around and 4wd is perfect. After thinking about this I did a search on the forum and it is mentioned that all tires need to be the same on 4x4.

Thanks for all your help.

Rim size doesn't matter, tire size does.

Why are posting this in a separate thread?

Post this where it belongs and that is at the end of your problem thread.

Also, tire and rim size plays a role in this.

hate to seem like an idiot... but i just wouldnt think my truck is smart enough to know that kinda thing... the previous owner of my truck put 225's on the truck instead of the 235's it calls for... it now needs aligned so bad it wore out one of those tires... would the fact that its a 235 and the rest are 225 do that to a 94 blazer or is that just something an OBD II blazer does??? also... maybe another dumb question i am gettin 30 x9.5's this month with the alignment... would that affect the 4WD???

Different size tires would make the 4X4 work harder but different size rims is a big "HELL NO" I have never heard of someone using different size rims on the front and back of a Blazer.... I am confused....
