Kicker Amp Installation

My New Kicker ZX550.2 comes in Friday (finally), ordered it yesterday. So when I hook it up, am I going to experience problems with my alternator not having enough power to power the car electronics? I've got a 1995 Camaro with a 3.4 V6, basically barebone stock besides the exhaust.

you might when you have it playing pretty loud. but for starters try upgrading the big 3.

what's the RMS power on a ZX550 ?

you shouldn't have any problems if you're electrical system is working right

well i can put it this way, i've got a 96 camaro 3.8, and with my setup with a 600 watt rms bridged amp, when i turn it way up, the lights blink with the music inside and out. its not a huge blinking loss of power, but enough that its noticeable. i'd imagine our alternators are the same if not mine being a little bigger. hope that helps.

Sounds nice, if I bridge it and run it up to about 25 (295W RMS bridged), you get the nice light dimming effect, but running it with both channels, nothing too bad...thanks guys
