2002 2.2 Engine replacment
North Coast Hotrod

I have a 2002 grand am that has a dead Ecotec 2.2 4 cyl . I was wondering how hard it is to replace these engines. I have done many older v8's, but never a front wheel drive 4 cyl. I have a heated shop with lots of tools, and a hoist. I thought it might be done by simply marking what I disconnect, taking my time, and using a good Haynes manual to guide me. I was wondering if anyone that has done these before has any advice... any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

it is best to drop the trany and engine out the bottom.
Mostly because the engine to trans mounts are impossible to get while in the car.
But if you have a hoist and tools and heat then I dont see why you cant "get'r done"
Though that Haynes manual is limited isnt it ?
