Lucky me, I've had a couple days off school to model, so I show you my latest efforts:
The fearsome straight four 180HP 1.3 liter Hayabusa engine!!:
http://mywebpages.comcast.net/kaiyao1/GSX1300R/engine1.jpg
Sorry about the second pic, my camera sometimes chokes when taking macro shots
http://mywebpages.comcast.net/kaiyao1/GSX1300R/engine2.jpg
You can't really see it in the two pics, but it was given a wash of Tamiya German Grey and Neutral Grey. My goal was to preserve the aluminum luster while still being slightly ridden.
Engine + frame + swingarm:

Now I need to spray the body, so it'll be cured by the time I assemble everything..

Thanks for the comments everyone. To everybody who asked about the frame, Tamiya metalplates them in matte chrome (this kit is a good example because they include a chrome tree and a matte chrome tree so you can tell the difference).
You can touch up the spots where you cut off from the sprue with a dash of chrome silver. Sometimes I like to strip the chrome and create my own metal finish, then I use Alclad Polished Aluminum (it's a bit darker in color but just as reflective. Here's an example:

Luka, the chassis comes like that. You just have to touch up the places where you cut it off the sprues with chrome silver.
Chris - 6 different types of plating? I must get an Aoshima bike kit. :o

Functional kickstand folds up and down

Hey Daggerlee!
How are you man? I only got now the time to study your progress on my sweet little Haya and I must say, it looks gorgous so far! Keep up the good work! I also like your washes, great addition of realism there. Maybe you should give the chain also a little wash, or did you and is it not so visible on the picture. Anyway, I'm waiting impatiently to see it finished! Keep it up boy!!! :D

The chrome parts come as chrome so no painting is needed on that.

Very nice 'Busa srlxy! All bikes are welcome in this thread :) no need to worry!
Just a tip, I can see the join lines on your front wheel cover and rear cowling, if you fill the lines with putty or some Mr. Surfacer 500 it will look more realistic. I love the paint job :sun:

This bike was done before I learnt how to use putty so that's y it is not cover up...
Makes it a little awful...

Just a question, when you finish the bike and put all the body covers on, can you take the covers for the body off to see the engine?

Yeah, they attached to the body by screws, so you can just unscrew the screws and take them off. :)
Thanks for the comments everybody, *finished* pics are now up in a separate thread. :) Here's one last progress pic, revealing the super secret paint job!
