I've looked around, and the 20g turbo's are usually going for around 1k or very close to that, yet this kit has one and an intercooler for an acura for $700 total.

If its a true mitsu 20G and it is brand new as it says, I'd think it almost be worth it to purchase the kit and try and get rid of the intercooler, as the price is generally about $300 less than what I've come across at most online retailers.

I doubt it's a real 20g, why go with a 20g anyway? There are much better turbos out there that will put down just as much power and more, for less than a 20g.

I'm not personally going with a 20G....at least not at the moment. I'm sort of shopping around right now, playing with ideas. I started in the realm of the big 16G, and likely will stay there, but love the Evo's and their power response.

I'm still a little wet behind the ears when it comes to cars, so I don't know all the different styles of turbo's and which are better/more efficent and cost effective.

Well it depends on your power goal. And overall goal with the car. That plays a big part in what would be great for your car.

Some people love the 16g, I consider it to be the first turbo that you can actually make decent power on and go fast. You won't be the fastest thing on the road but you will be faster than alot of things on the road. I think the 16g is a good all around turbo, but if you want to make any big power you definately have to go bigger.

My goals for now are between 300 and 400. We all know how goals change overtime though. :p

Thats why I think I'll still end up sticking with it. If I ever upgrade from it, I'll probably look into a T3/T4 or hybrid.

for 300-400hp get a 50 trim. A 16g will get you around 300hp but not 400.

I seen that Slowboy's had an interesting lil turbo for around $700 that would probably fit the bill. Like I said, things change over time, but for now I'd be happy with power somewhere in between those figures. I'd just like to be able to give a nice fight against the evo's and SRT's that plague the area.

Are you talking about the "Basterd" turbo?

Are you fwd or awd? Little tip for racing srt's. Look for ones still on the stock rims and race from a dig. I know I can catch traction untill half way through 3rd on my stockers. Dont race from a roll unless its close to stock because they have pretty good top ends and lets be honest, they are the fastest production FWD car in the world. Finally dodge did something right

I like SRT-4's, I drove one a few times. My friend has one. It wasn't quite as fast as my GS-T at the time, but the srt-4 was stock and my GS-T was not. I happen to really love the interior and the interior features, like the seats and guages. To me that is really what sells me on the car. The exterior I think could use a little work.

I would get a PTE SCM 50 trim. They make better power than SBR 50 trims and are only like $40 more.

I took it like he wanted our opinions on that cheap ass POS eBay turbo, I was just suggesting an alternative that isnt a pile of shit. Looks as though defiancy was reaffirming my motion for the PTE turbo. Maybe I am just confused?

This I know. My soon to be brother-in-law has one. He's bitched many a times about how first and second gear are practically worthless to him.
