so how many of you have finals to write/ have written finals? what are you taking? what do you do to avoid studying for them? etc.

right now i've done a mechanics final, didn't go to badly, wrote my calc exam, that wasn't bad either, now i've got a chem final tomorrow, i'm worried bout that one, and an introduction to engineering final on friday, and i'm a little worried about that one.

I pretty much do whatever i can when i'm avoiding studying, be it facebook, msn, AF, break.com, youtube, etc. i just find things to do. sometimes i'm just trying to figure something out and it's not coming so i just get frustrated and go crank out a few chinups, come back and tackle it again.

does anyone pull all nighters for exams? i haven't yet but i might have to for my intro to engineering class, i haven't been to that class since the second week of september, it's a bullshit course but it's still alot of info to cram into your head in a day.

I always cram the day before for finals. But I have been done with them for about a week now.

^same here

I always claim I'll study for at least 3 days leading up to the exam but the best I ever achieved was cracking the textbook a good 36 hours before test time. I was pretty proud of myself that time. Usually I end up waiting til T-12 hours

yeah i started studying yesterday a bit but i didn't do anything serious until today, plus i got a late start on things since i blazed last night so i didn't wake up until 12 or 1.

Welcome to engineering. EVERYONE procrastinates, so if you have an engineering lab, go there before the test, i can guarantee you 90% of the people (left) in your class will be there cramming. I have my calc 2 and chem final tomorrow. I'm here right now. Ha.

I'm done with finals now! yay! I'm going into IET (Industrial Engineering Tech) so I can definitely second that engineers are procrastinators. I don't think I started studying for any of my finals until the day before, other than my programming final (which I tanked anyway). I pulled 2 A's, a B, and a C. Not too shabby considering how crappy my semester went.

Just dealing with the wifes Law school finals one more semester and she is done. I start my Masters in January.....Not looking forward to that. She as I always pull all nighters. Its the only way to retain the info before the test so right after the test you can forget about it.

holy fuck, this is disappointing. i just got out of my chem exam feeling like the shit because it was way easier than i thought it would be and i knew most of the stuff on the final. then i went and checked the marks on my mechanics course, it said i have a B-, so 70-75%. that's horrible considering i had an 86% going into the final. i think they messed up the marks because that would mean i got a maximum of 62% on my final to drop me to a b-. i'm emailing my prof right now to clear things up.

I want to get into engineering but I'm far from a school that teaches it...I should be getting A's in calculus but I think I just failed the class, I probably will fail in c++, I feel so goddamn stupid right now. I wish I could start over, that's all I really need. I could major in Art and gets A's but my friends say that art majors are stupid, which really made my day because that's the only class I'm getting a B+ in (probably, probably not A because I know my grades) Seriously though It's easier to put a lot of work into an art class, especially when it's 3 hours and you work mostly in class. MAth you have to study for, which I did, see my stress release thread about that class. C++, I reallly fell behind, to the point that I wonder If I could ever be a computer programmer, ever.

Engineering, don't get me started. Don't even go there, I have 0 experience.
