sounds like the power cable and/or fuse can't handle that much power. just a guess though.

sounds like you either .....
1) have something connected wrong
2) have a bad amp
3) are using the wrong sized fuse

check the package of the amp kit you bought and make sure you are using the right type of fuse (nothing that is less or exceeding what you need) and check to make sure your amp kit is designed to handle the watts your amp is delivering. tell us how your system is connected currently and the audio gurus can tell you if something is amiss (i probably can't).

do you mean a 30 amp fuse? cause you need around a 45 amp one if you do the calcalations (sp) 600 watts of the amp divided by a consent 14.4 volts

well i put in the deck. i wired the harness.. i conected to RCA cables to the amp. i ran the power cable from the battery to the amp. i bridge the subs.. i ran the remote wire from the amp to the deck. i grounded the amp to a bolt that holds the latch to close the trunk. i checked all the fuses. only the power one blows.

i don't think there is a 45 amp one, 40 amp is the biggest you can get in the (i forget what it is called) spade type, i think. check to make sure the power wire isn't touching anything or worn through, make sure speaker cables aren't shorted anywhere.

well the power cable is split because at the end of the cable where it connects to the battery it has a fuse connector to it so the amp wont blow i guess. and its attatched to the power wire and shit. and is elctrical taped. so yea..

that fuse near the battery is to protect the CAR, not the stereo stuff.

so i can take out that fuse thing?. and just run the power straight to the battery?

1) Connect your ground wire to the amp and to a clean metal part on your vehicles body (The rear seatbelt anchor makes a good grounding point)!
2) Run the power cable from the battery to where your amp is.
3) Fuse the power cable
4) Connect the power cable.
Wire your subs up to it, plug in the RCAs last, and then if it shorts, I'd get a new power wire.

*Edit*--Plugging in the RCAs last is a trick to rid of speaker static, I made the mistake of plugging in the RCAs in the middle of my installation, a friend simply disconnected, and then reconnected them, and be damned if the static was gone.

But, check the ground again, if by chance it didn't blow the fuse when you plugged it in, it could be a bad ground, gain controls...

this thread keeps going in every direction, if you dont want to cause hundreds maybe even thousands of dollars in damage to your electrical system that $.30 fuse is your best safe gaurd. As for the install spend $20 go to wally world and get an amp install kit, it could save a loy of headaches if thats the problem.

As for the install heres some install guides and digrams

http://www.caraudiohelp.com/how_to_install_a_car_amp/how_to_install_a_car_amp.htm

Do it right, 12v might not sound like much but it takes less than 1 amp to kill you. Also make sure tha amp is capable of being bridged, you could be causing damage every time you blow a fuse if its not.

As for the rca thing, ive installed them at many different points in my install and i have never had interference problems, thats usually cause by bad grounb, cheap rcas, and other electrical systems carrying current over the wire making it pickup that current as signal noise.

Read, do research google if you dont understand, but listen to what everyone is trying to say there is a cause to this and it takes steps to figure it out, we cant see the setup so we have to guess from what you give us.
