Good cops

I just wanted to take a moment to show my appreciation for the members of law enforcement that are under-appreciated.

Don't let one (or one million) bad apples spoil the whole bunch. You know the laws, and you also know mankind... and how to strive for the balance of justice, peace and freedom. God bless you all!

hmmmm..... Once you get past the traffic cops, I'd agree with that.

man that is a load of shit! i live in Dublin, Ohio and all the cops do is pick on teenagers with civics and any other sportscar. i mean you pull out of the school parking lot and on a good day you'll only see about 8 or 9 within the half mile and if you are going even 2mph over the limit you get pulled over. SO SCREW ALL THE FUCKIN' PO'S!!!:flipa:

I know, I know... 9 out of 10 cops aren't good (especially the ones in Texas who arrested the 200+ teens). But what I'm trying to do here is send a thank you to the ones who ARE wise, considerate, worldly, compassionate, etc...

Whoa, back that ass up... and it's not b/c you're a big fine woman...

Just because you live in NOwhereville, USA means that you have the right to evaluate every cop with a respectable outlook on upholding the law... And yes, Dublin = nowheresville.

I got pulled over for a BS violation on my bike, but does that mean that I can't respect the men and women who rushed into "Ground Zero" to save the lives of others while risking their own??? Heck no! I have an undying respect for those who work day in and day out to keep everyone safe. Does that mean that once in a while we'll get some stupid, lame-@ss speeding ticket? Likely, yes. But what if your speeding sent you through a yellow-turned-red light, and you went careening into an innocent victim???

Sorry, but I must say that I find your post entirely arrogant and out-of-base. Kindly keep the FTPs for other things, not here.

Just to counter-balance that statement... :D
I would not support an officer who rushed in to save lives on Sept. 11th, who does his job poorly and ruins people's lives every other day of his existence. Sure he was a hero for a day, but there were 10,950 others in which he did more damage than good:(

If they were a crappy cop, they probably would not have RUSHED in... they probably would only turn around to go in once they realized that they'd be in deep shit otherwise, IMHO. I dunno, it's a nice thought I suppose.

I have mostly dealt with nice policemen..like for example when my car was totaled and the police were there with like 30 seconds. One asked if anyone was hurt, I said, "No, we're just pissed." He said "I don't blame you." and that made me feel better. He was very nice and competent. And then when my car got vandalized, the responding officer went to 7 different houses trying to track down the suspect. I was very happy with the way the whole incident was treated.

What people don't always realize is that police are paid very poorly -- in the range of $30k a year depending on experience. And this is for a job where everyone they deal with is either a bad guy in a bad mood or a good guy in a bad mood. But either way, everyone they deal with is cranky. And anyone else who's worked with the general public can tell you they're generally a bunch of idiots. And the police end up working with the worst of society every day. Let alone the risk of getting killed..I'd be the grumpiest-ass cop anyone ever saw.

OMG, i was thinking the same? i dont understand?

Acutally the other day i was at autozone or something, and there was a cop there in a caprice ss? the logo at the back looks like the impala ss logo, and i had only heard of the caprice classic. He told me about the car for a min, he popped the hood, and i was amazed to see a LT1 vette engine.. he said he was about to get a new 400~hp engine and supercharge... after that he wanted me to see his light show and hear his system... stock but awsome.. he had flowmaster and not-stock rims...as he drove off he gave a chirp and blew away... i was stunned.. :D
