03 Ram QC: Auto door locks Beep when activated

This has been going on for a long time and it drives my wife crazy. The truck has power door locks, the auto door lock kicks on when you get moving appx. 15 mph. The annoying part: when it does the auto door lock it always does a BEEP with it. If it makes any difference I checked the manual posted on the forum and it says the doors should auto unlock when truck turned off and driver door opened. It doesn't unlock on it's own. Always have to manually unlock anyone other than driver. No, the "rear child protection locks" are not in the "on" position on any of the doors. Anyone have any ideas what is going on? Also...last summer the power windows in the rear didn't want to work with the any switch but the drivers. The window lock button wasn't on. ?? Thanks for any info..

I only notice the beep once in awhile. But my pass. door always unlocked when the truck get turns off and the keys taken out. Sounds like there might be a bad connection somewhere.

I have misplaced my owners manual but there are programmable functions related to the locks. I think the beep is one of them. I read mine when I bought it and I can't remember for sure. I did reprogram mine to unlock all four doors with a single push of the unlock button on the keyfob. The factory setting was one push for the driver's door and two pushes for all four doors. I got to find my manual.
