Alternator upgrade

if i were to remove my alternator, install a 260 AMP Gm Alternator. its a One wire alternator. into my 1995 neon and so on, Will the car run ok beside the computer thinking my batt. not charging?

What do you need a 260 amp alternator for?

well i have an Amplifier that needs 150 amps. and my car is running a 60/90 amp alternator. and if i underpower my amplifier i'll burn it out
