na vs. turbo

so ive found that its a lot cheaper and easier to find a na supra but i have also heard that the turbo version is the way to go. i dont have to much money but i have always wanted this car. the tt would be great but how much of a pain would it be to lower the compression in the na version to eventually get the same boost as the tt if i added a turbo set up. or would it be smarter to just hold off and find a tt? basically i want to get the na version now then as the years go by i can turbo/lower compression... or should i try to find a high mileage tt that i can afford and risk it breaking down?

Don't bother with modifyint the NA motor. Just swap it.

thats not a bad idea probably more simple but how much does a 2jz-gte engine run? does it come with or with out stock turbo setup? another thing to keep in mind is the computer i heard that there different? in order to swap out everything needed would it be cheaper to buy the tt from the start? ill research it thanks for the help any links would be greatly appreciated

Just wait until you have the necessary funds to get the car u want. If you cheat yourself, you will always just end up spending more money. Turbo imports are the only way to go when looking at power ranges but turbo cars require dollars increase to keep em working. The TT is no young child anymore, also. Plus keep in mind those TT are hella expensive. Far worth more than I think anyone should pay for them. Wait until the new supra drops (fingers crossed) and those prices come down. Feast for everyone.
22k for TT with 100000 miles
22K for 99 vette with 47000 miles
Guess which one im going with.

no offense but nothing will ever replace a supra.... but thats what i think :grinyes: and i would jump all over a tt for that cheap right around the 100000 mi mark... so if you know anyone.... but again thats me (plus theres a little thing called insurance and if i had a vett they probably wouldnt insure me) lol
