How many Skyline models are available from Tamiya? What's your favorite and do you consider one easier to build then another?

I've done an R34 JGTC Loctite Skyline. The kit's sweet. There are some pics in a thread somewher on here. Also got the R33 GT-R, also nice although I kinda trashed it for parts... might build it again some time.

There are 19 skyline model from Yamiya right now.
R34 V-spec 2 is coming.

I like all the Tamiya's Calsonic Skyline, R34 and the 2000 GTR. They're great!

Tamiya makes the R32, 33, and 34 Skylines. Only the R32 has the engine in it, and I think the R34 is the easiest to build of the lot.

I count 22. :p

edit: I count poorly; there are 23 here. I don't know the difference between the first two, though, other than the scooter... ;) :silly: numbers added for reference...

yes and my mission is to build them all. (donations of kits would be greatly apreciated :D )

http://www.tamiya.com/japan/products/list/24car_img/24109m.jpg

apart from the silver that car is about 99.9% decal

EDIT:

I would say that the first and second pics posted by Jay would be of the same car the second one looks like a rerelease with better scooter and improved driver detail.

Looks like the HKS R32 may be next on my list of skylines to build. When are they going to release the HKS R33 Drag car????

The second one is a 4 door.

I found I do have one Skyline, the black/gold third one down. Unbuilt but I'm afraid the decals aren't in great shape :(

The Recaro seat decals are cool. I hope they'll work.

this is the puppy your talking about.
HKS R33 GTR (http://tucars24.valuehost.ru/0000_hks_drag_gtr.htm)

The car was taken down to Australia where (from what I am led to believe) it did its first drag run outside of Japan running a 7.8 second 1/4 mile.

tazdev - you gonna do all the Studio 27 decal variations? :D

If you can't find the AXIA skyline, S27 offers the decal set, along with dozens of others:

I bet this:

would make a nice pair for this:

Boy, Slylines are indeed popular regardless of its model year.
Some of the Group A and N kits are reissued this summer, namely ZEXEL, AXIA, Castrol and FALKEN.

 Now that's a lot of Skylines. Okay out of the normal street cars, that are not ugly (sorry) 80s versions, which would you say is easy/funner to work with?
