Transmission Question on E350 Van

Hey All-
when you first start the van in the morning to warm up, I noticed that when you turn the key to crank the engine, as it fires, it feels like it jumps forward, almost like it is in gear, but it is in park...the only time it does it is when you start it. Otherwise you can rev it up, no movement..I have never had a car jerk forward when you start it. What would cause this to happen? thanks
