Hi im new to the forum but have a question. I just replaced the fan clutch on my trailblazer but the service engine soon light is still on. Is there a way to shut it off without taking it somewhere and paying to have it shut off?
Thanks in advance

First thing I'd do is read the code to see what it is. If it's a fan clutch related code, I'd pull a battery lead for atleast 15min to reset the PCM. You gotta love these genious electro-mechanical fan clutches. What a cluster *.:banghead:

I wonder if you wait long enough if it will say " Service Engine NOW!" Oh come on.......that was funny. It's on for a reason.

Mid-'05 GM switched to a re-designed fan clutch w/ new part #. There is a TSB and a re-flash involved in the replacement. If you had the work done at a GM dealer's they should have re-prog'd the PCM and cleared the codes.
