Keyless entry will not lock.

I have a 2001 Kia Optima that will unlock the doors with the keyless entry, but will not lock the doors or set the alarm. The car locked the rest of the doors when you locked the driver's door, but it doesn't do that anymore either. All the fuses are good. Has anyone else had this problem. Thanks for any information.

I am having the same problem on a 2003 Optima. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have noticed that I do here the relay clicking but no luck getting the other doors to lock.

First try opening the remote and using something like an old toothbrush to clean off the circuit board and the inside of the button pad...

If that doesn't do the trick, you probably want to replace the remote.

It will not lock the passenger doors with the lock/unlock button on the door panel either. I believe that it is going to be the relay's under the dash somewhere.

I have an '04 EXV6 and had the receiver for the automatic door locks replaced, fortunately under warranty! I initially went in to check if I needed the struts replaced and fortunately did not and just told the service rep about the problem with the key fob, I was amused that I drove the car for several years and thought it was just a bad remote.
