Starter

How do you get the starter out of a 98 Neon that is going bad? I don't see how it comes out of there.

You have to remove the front motor mount, take off the bolts to the starter turn it vertically, move the engine back a bit and pull it out.

I also had to take out the battery and battery box to get to one of the bolts.

I also had to take out the battery and battery box to get to one of the bolts.You can get to it from underneath the car without taking off the battery box, but it does make it a little easier.
