The lock Actuators will have to be checked to see if they work. It's not uncommon for an Actuator to go bad. You can find 1000's of they on eBay.

The window motor may or may not be the only problem if the symptom is: Window fails to go up and/or down.

Typical problems: (in order at your age)
1) Gearbox clutch inserts disintegrate.
2) Regulator cable breaks.
3) Fuse blows.
4) Motor dies.

All these problems are discussed in detail in other threads in this (Lincoln) forum. I'm sure these are live topics in the other forums as well.

The 'clutch inserts' broken will fail to move the window, yet you can hear the motor running. Same with a broken Regulator -- so you'll have to remove the door panels to have a look at exactly what's the problem.

You'll have to open the door to test the Lock Actuator anyway.
