Recomendations of clutch/flywheel combo for my SL.

I had a new OEM clutch installed 8 months and 10,000 miles ago (flywheel was also resurfaced) on my '93, and it's already started to slip: noticabely in higher gears, especially when downshifting 5->4, or 4->3. I drive in a very sober fashion, so I'm not sure why the wear was so quick!
Anyway. I'm looking into buying a clutch kit, and a new flywheel while I'm at it (at 150K miles, I think it's time for a new one). Can anyone recommend a brand that is a stage above OEM? I am looking for a streetable clutch that is a little better than OEM, but nothing on the top end. Something a tad more grippy than a stocker. I was looking at 3sx's SPEC clutches, but I read some negative on-line reviews about their fitment and customer service. ACT? Exedy?

I'll tell you exactly why it wore so fast...you got your flywheel resurfaced. If it's not done PERFECTLY to spec, your clutch will burn out quick. And 9 shops out of 10, have no specs and just machine the steps on the flywheel down to a rough estimate of what they machined the face. Happened to me twice.
A new flywheel costs about $50 at Autozone, probably cheaper at Advanced Auto Parts. I would go with that, and an OEM clutch kit($80 at dealer). Unless you're twin-turbo'ing your SL, you don't need anything special.

good stuff to know. can you tell us the exact specs to 2-step the flywheel? its probably in the service manual. i'll take a look there. just curious if you knew it off the top of ur head.

:1: I didn't know that either. I guess I'll just go OEM and get a new flywheel.
Twizted_3KGT: The Autozone flywheel...is it OEM spec or better?

Yes the Autozone flywheel is the same as OEM.
As for the spec, I did a lot of searching before, and I think I remember finding it, but the only thing I have bookmarked is this http://www.roadraceengineering.com/clutchandflywheeltech.htm which is for Eclipses, but it's got some good information on why it needs to be perfect and how to measure it.
