I am so beat that i cant stay awake for anything. I was taking my g/f to work this morning and at a red light i fell asleep while driving the jetta and my foot let off the brake and the car moved and nudged a saturn infront of us at the same time my g/f yelled out "Kris!" at which point i slammed on my brake and pulled the e-brake to park it to see if I did any damage to the ion. Luckly I didnt do anything to it and the jetta wasnt damaged. But ive been like this for the past month or so where I cant stay awake. I fall asleep while driving, while working, while talking on the phone, even while walking around. I wake up at 5 AM go take my g/f to work, then go to work myself, go pick her up and then go back to the office after being in traffic for an hour and i stay here till about 7pm-12am then take my g/f home and then i go home only to have to wash dishes or take care of my brother and sister and do other things aswell. to only go to sleep at about 1 or 2 getting an average of 3 hours of sleep a night. I just cant keep doing this...im even falling alseep right here...

If possible, maybe your g/f can drive herself around. That would have to save you some time for rest. Or, you can take something to stay awake. You are in south fl., right. In any case sleep is important for me. I shoot for 8 hrs. a night...

How about you get your girlfriend to drive herself to work? I thought she was going to drive the Jetta and you drive the Rx-8?
She's a big girl, she can handle the Jetta, get yourself some extra sleep man... getting in an accident and hurting yourself or somebody else isn't worth it.

My wife used to take her to work and bring her back since they both work at the same hotel. But Charlynne got promoted and now has a different schedule then Gotian's fiance.
Although I thought she got her license already bro...why isnt she driving?
and I know how you feel bud, I start my second job on Sunday.
I take caffene pills, hence the ulcers, hence why Ive lost so much weight.

it was my celica, she was just in the picture.
Andits not that I have to take her to work that is the problem cause even when she is off I still wake up early to be at work early anyways.
I was supposed to teach more on how to drive cause she can do it just has to do it more often, problem is that I havent had the time or chance to.

Why don't you sleep between 7pm and 12am instead of wasting time online?

If she can do it, just let her drive. Best way to teach somebody is to just force them to do it on their own.
The whole sink or swim theory.
I bought my first Z, which was a 5-speed over 100 miles from home. And upto that point, I'd spent maybe... 20 minutes behind the wheel of a manual car, and that was spread out between several different cars and a few years. So, I basically had an idea of what to do, but no real idea at all. But I bought it anyways, and had to get it home. (I got it all the way home without stalling, it was helpful that it was an easy car to drive...)

She'll be fine, we can't baby our babies all the time bro. :2cents:

I guess you could say it this way as well...
Charity starts at home, help yourself before you can help others. What good are you to us of you're not 100% you when you're taking care of everybody else?
It's the same with airlines, they say to put the breather mask on yourself first, and then the child. You can't help a child if you're knocked the fuck out due to lack of oxygen.
Same here, you can't help her (or anybody) if you're so damn tired that you're falling asleep and hitting shit.

Here is a gift for you....
http://www.miamidade.gov/transit/
It sounds to me like your girl needs to step up and try and make thing easier on you. Does she not know how to drive period or just a standard. Does she have her liscense yet? Some people just need to be taken care of and some people need to think they have to take care of someone. I think I'll go get me another couple hours of sleep now :)....

i slept for over 9 this morning. i really needed it. seriously, have her drive or catch the bus or somethin. as much as i wouldn't want this to happen, she is going to have to get there some days by herself, unless you want a mental attack of not enough sleep. take a day off, and sleep like crazy one of the days mushman's wife can get her. do that.
with all seriousness, there is nothing like have a good amount of sleep.

Shes not scared of it, she loves it. Kris is scared of her driving manual. I can relate though, my wife drives anything you give her. She can drive manual, auto, motorcycles, forklifts, dunebuggies, rail cats, even a small friegth truck with air brakes one time. Still I worry about her everytime she drives off.

Damn man, I know how you feel... because I myself used to get tired like that... That was back about a year ago when I had to bust my behind working about 10-12 hours a day (dont even ask... I had some financial issues), and still trying to upkeep myself, and my girl... It was a pain, but I got through it...
Your best bet would be to just get as much sleep as you can, ANY way you can get it... Even 30 minute naps between shifts at work, and dring lunches helps... Try anything, whenever you have free time, sleep... I can't strees it enough, how important sleep is... Because last thing you, and everyone around you wants to happen, is - God forbid, you sleeping behind the steering wheel, while draving at even semi-high speeds...
It's not like you're sick, but all I have to say is, get better soon man... And now that your girl is taking driving lessons, that should make stuff a whole lot easier for yourself, AND her...

mushman, is it because of all the movies and commercials that the girl is always fixing their makeup while driving and then hitting something? or driving too safely and becoming a hazard to other as well?

Well thanks for everyones concern, things are getting a bit better. I'm still not getting enough sleep but its for another reason now. My g/f is driving now, she is going to drive ME to her work tomorrow morning. And After a recent panic attack that i had (don't ask it's personal) my g/f is doing everything she can to help me to relax. So everything should be okay within the next few months.
