I just got a 92 hatch and want to know what kind of money i am looking at spending on doing a complete H22 swap or a B18c? I am also going to turbo soon after. A shop near me told me to just do an LS swap and turbo it but i want some mad power. So cost wise and performance wise which would be my best bet?

Ive been told that an H22 will cause under/over steer in the turns (cant remember which) because of its weight, so out of the two I would go with the B18C. If you are going to turbo charge it I would be careful because the the B18 has a mildly high compression rate. High compression and high boost dont go together. If your really bent on going turbo I would go with the ls motor.

The swap of the H22 or B18C1 will be relatively similar in cost ... Cost wise the turbo LS motor will be cheaper but it will not make the power of a turbo GSR motor ... I would stick with the B18C1 if i were you ...

If you were to take an Ls/V-tec motor, and put it into your car, put in a gsr crank, you could easily spank a b-16/b-18 motor easily....but alas..anyhting pertaining to typeR just means "kick ass"..so..choose wisely
