yes 20MPG after I did a few tuner things to my 95 GMC BURB... I huge difference from 9-11MPG!! I use regular octane! I replaced the 02 sensor with a Boch, Changed my EGR to a NEW EGR valve. After having a code 32 error, which was EGR error, not responsive! I couldnt be happier. Just think thats pretty impressive. The 20MPG is not babying the engine either, it drives like a truck. :naughty:
Maybe some of you guys are getting BETTER gas mileage... Let me know
She does have a advance ignition timing, and K&N air filter...
Im thinking of changing the plugs and wires next, or even adding a MSD ignition... Let me know what you guys think.
Here are some pics of the motor, She has 180K on it, yepp!! runs like stock new! Well maintained.

Our 94 burb has 192K on it and it still gets 16 - 18 MPG, it also runs great and still has that big V8 rumble.

The best mileage I get with my '99 burb - 215K is 10 :disappoin
But I run it on LPG. Almost every Ami-truck in Belgium (Europe) runs on it.
At €0,475/liter ($2,35/gallon) against $6,40/gallon for 95octane gas (=cheapest) it would be a huge cut in my budget to drive with normal gas.
I drive it since october and I wondered if the mileage could be improved. It is possible I hear now....
I'll start with the wires and plugs because "EGR-valve" etc.. sounds a little like chinese to me.

I noticed I forgot to mention the milage on the truck,320,000 kms and still kills the smog test no probs.

hey borguy, if i were you i would take your burb to an automotive LP master tech and have them acctualy tune your engine for LP. might cost you around 600 dollars us (i appoligize im too lazy to convert it to euros but if its any consolation its around 450 pounds if your familiar with english currency)
but in the long run it will pay for itself in fuel savings! ive heard of 5.7L 350 engine Gasoline/LP conversions getting up to 20H-17C (gas)/ 19H -18C (LP)
may be something to look into.
as for me i had my burb around the 20mpg range then a series of unfortunate events brought that back down to like 15 MAX when im babying it. engine and tranny are still fine but ive got some drive axle problems and wheel issues

She does have a advance ignition timing, and K&N air filter...
What brand of advance ignition timing?
how many o2 sensors the burban has?
txs!
