thermostat help!

I have a 98 intrepid 2.7L, I cannot locate thermostat, I think it is on bottom of motor if it is how do I change it?

Usually the thermostat is located in the thermostat housing that is connected to the upper radiator hose.

the thermostat on 2.7 engines is where the lower --yes, lower ---radiator hose connects to the engine.
