Hey everyone... im a newbie pretty much at making models. im on my third one. But they are just not turning out how i want them. Right now im makinga Revell Integra Type R, pretty nice kit so far. On the outside of the bodies for any cars.... How do u get the spray evenly, without like bubbles or drips for the paint!!!!its very hard!, so far ive made a Z8-revell, NSX-tamiya and another Type R-which didn't turn out well.... also i was wondering where you can get parts, such as a spoiler, body kits etc. i hope someone can help me out!!! and ill try to post some pics of my models soon!! bye

rule number 1, use primer! Tamiya primer is the best that I've found.
start out with insanely light coats of paint, i'm talkin barely touching the car. Just keep adding coats and soon you'll get a good cover.

Ok let me tell u whats happening now.... ok... I have put on 1 coat of red paint on my new integra.... is there any way to primer over, or just keep on painting more coats.... What about clear coat stuff, what is that.. and how should i use it!! thanks for your help

If you really want to become a better modeller and want this model to look fantastic then just buy some castrol super clean and strip the paint. If you just want to wait til your next model to use primer then that will be cool too. just remember, light coats of paint are key to a good finish, it took me a few models to learn that lesson.

welcome to AF. If you buy castrol super clean, make sure you buy the degreaser, not the hand cleaner.

Don't use nail polish remover or paint thinner...those can MELT the plastic of your model! Don't know about turpentine but I bet that's nasty as well!

Try Oven cleaner such as Easy Off(don't use the fume free type)if you can find Mr. Muscle it works better.
