Hookah and Shisha

Is it the same thing as smoking? For anybody that is middle eastern might now about this? I mean...does it have the same harmful effects as cigarettes?

Yes, if you are smoking out of a cigarette, bong, hooka, joint, pipe, none of it is good (not bad) for you

funny, i just bought one for my friend as a xmas present. Ace is right, reason its "healthier" than cigarettes is because of the bubbler effect. If you smoke a bong/hookah/bubbler, etc, the water is "purifying" the smoke, making it smoother, too. Still, its smoke, and its very unhealthy for your respiratory system and also has other unhealthy effects associated with tobacco. It is, however, healthy...for your soul. :smokin:

i think it's slightly healthier than cigs because i don't think they add much to the tobacco, and also there's the water taking out some of the toxins and most of the soot. the problem comes with how long you smoke it, i mean ive sat around a hooka for well over an hour, when you hotbox a girls bathroom and just sit in it, it can't be healthy.

Every time I smoked shisha (3 times) it gave me a wierd light-headed buzz. I didn't like it. I smoked it after smoking weed and it kinda messed with my high. The other 2 times I hadn't smoked anything else and I liked it even less. I tried like 8 flavors and some were kinda tasty, but once the buzz sets in I forget about the flavor
