Allright so I just did a trans fluid change on my '95 about a week ago and ever since its been slipping real bad, I accelerate and the revs go up but the car isn't goin with it and then after letting off the gas it will shift..I checked the level after warming it up and its fine so any suggestions on what the problem is would be helpful..

hmm, that's not too bad, I asked because sometimes folks change the fluid way after the mileage window has closed.

However, did the fluid that was in the pan sieem gritty?

Was the magnet in on the apn clean?

What kind of fluid did you put back in?

I assume you changed the filter.

well i don't think the car was well taken care of by whoever owned it before me, so its very possible that it had never been changed at all, since the same thing was true about my spark plugs, but I did the change using a trans fluid change machine where you hook it up to a trans line and it takes out the old fluid and puts in the new, so taking out the pan wasn't necessary, and i put dexron 3 in, but no i didnt change the filter but I dont see that causing it to slip..

hmmm

Well, I'm gonna let someone chime in who maybe has experience with this machine, however the filter still should have been changed (might be clogged :dunno: )

Does the machine constantly replenish fluid as it flushes the old out?

That's a good way to almost flush out hte converter, but the pan still needs to come off, and the filter needs to be changed. On the bright side, at least half the job is done....

Mine did that, then shortly after I had to get it rebuilt! The front pump was spewing out all my trans fluid :(

unfortunately i think the old fluid probably had pieces of metal that were keepin the trans together and after changing it its slipping cause its not holding together as well..what really sucks about this is that if i need it rebuilt i might have to sell the car because i just won't have the money for it if it costs more than $1500 :frown:

It cost me around $1400 to get mine rebuilt, works like a charm now though!
