The most common V8 swap for a Toyota truck is the 350.
Search the net for plenty of info on that and other V8 swaps.

Check the prices on ALL components needed to do your swap the you have the ECU plus all the peripheral non engine mounted components.
Interfaces are what will be your biggest headaches. The ECU HAS to be the exact one for the engine, transmission and versions of all the peripheral sensors. Do you have an automatice transmission? If so it is fully controled by the engine ECU.
About the 2.0 vs. 3.0, he was correct in questioning! You HAVE to be that exact when talking this swap you can not assume or guess at anything here and expect it to even start. Just using your imagination will not suffice!
When typo can cost you hundreds of dollars in non returnable merchandise and many headaches.
Hint: the people here are here to help you, so before you cop an attitude about their response check their title and how many people they have taken their time to help. Just a suggestion for posting anywhere.
pnoiSR20 Yes, the virgin never dies, but they are just that, STILL a virgin!!
