I have read some of the other posting on this similar problem. If you have fixed yours please let me know what you did. I have poor acceleration, dies while driving, does not like to go up hills, runs as if the timing chain has jumped a gear. This problem started out small and has gotten to the point that the car is not drivable.
I have done the following;
when on the computer it says cam sensor error (only message)
replaced the ECM
replaced the cam sensor
replaced the supercharger ( it rattled anyway)
checked fuel pressure reg. it holds vacum all day long
checked fuel pressure on the rail-when pump comes on pressure is 40. as soon as pump stops pressure drops to 5
when running fuel pressure is 40/remove fpr vacum line and pressure goes to 48
When driving fuel pressure is 40 even when it is running bad.
pulled rail and fuel injectors out as an assembly turned key on- no fuel injector allowed gas to pass through (so I beleive that none are stuck open)
fuel pressure did go up to 40 during this test.
Where is my fuel pressure going?????????
I attempted to replace the crank sensor but I was not able to remove the vibration dampner, it would not come off the crank shaft, I used a 2 jaw pully and a 3 jaw pulley and no luck (this is not a harmonic balancer with threded holes in it, this is a double pulley on the crank).

I had similar problem and ran a new ground wire between Block and H Frame.
You could confirm resistance between engine block and Frame it should be 10 or less ohms. Not battery to block but block to h frame. Good luck!!

I have this exact problem, did you try the new ground wire that sixsmiles recomends?

Have you guys checked your battery & battery cable connections?

No but how could that be related? There doesn't seem to be an issue with the battery?

Fuel & ignition systems are all electronic. If these systems aren't getting proper voltage you'll have problems. It's just one of the things that should be checked & ruled out. Battery should have around 12 volts with engine off & 13 -14 with the engine running. Battery cables need to be clean & tight. If there is any sign of corrosion remove the boot & bolt & clean everything with sandpaper or wire brush. Apply dielectric grease & reassemble.

If battery & cables check out then I like to examine the spark plugs.

hello, your problem is one of them coil packs, or the wires or plugs, most likely its one of the coils going bad

If the CRANKshaft sensor is bad you would experience stalling and stopping and no start.

Just sounds like like EGR isnt closing..

Good LUck.

I put new coil packs on it runs much better not fixed yet going to check egr & tps I'm getting code 21 tps too high 01/07
replaced fuel pump and fixed fuel pressure problem.
