Very worried about my New-Car-to-be

Hi all!

I am new to AF and the Prelude community. just dumped my POS 2G GSX and looking in to getting a prelude.

I found a deal for a 2001 Prelude 5 speed Base for $9500 (originally priced at 11500, easily bargained to 9500) with 32000 miles.

BUT, I have certain questions:

1) Is the price too good to be true...$9500 for 32000 miles 2001 base 5 speed? The car is bone-stock and the CARFAX is clean and the car runs healthy.

2) here is a picture of the front bumper. Notice that tiny "prelude" plate on the left is missing.

3) here is a picture of the rear bumper. Again notice that the embossed "PRELUDE" on the bumper is color matched with the bumper and not in silver

The carfax comes clean. So what do you guys say..Am I getting into trouble? Plus the dealer is far away from me, how can I arrange for a mechanic to check this car out?

Thanks and regards.

well that price is really low for that car but...
the front grill is off of a 97-98 model which has no prelude logo, thats the 99-01 that has the logo and it has a more honeycomb look

also the prelude rear letters only came crome so they must have repainted them or the whole bumper

i would say have a 3rd party mechanic look at it anywhere you can take it and look for obvious accident damage or mechanical problems

might just be a good deal though
