transmission

Stupid weather! Anyway, does anyone know where to get a really cheap transmission? its for a 6g72 engine for the 01 Galant, which is of course an automatic, since I dont think there has been a manual since the 91 model. I looked on ebay and found them for between 450 and 650, but I am a bit weary of there. Any other suggestions?
